At Muse Laser Medspa, one session of laser hair removal costs $35 for a small area such as the upper lip or chin, $55 for the underarms, $125 for a Brazilian and $199 for full legs. Most people need 6 to 12 sessions, so the number to plan around is a package of six: $275 for the underarms, $660 for a Brazilian, $990 for full legs.

If you want the upper lip and chin done, the full face costs $2 more a session, $72 against $70, and less for six: $385 against $398.
For men, the Manzilian, a male Brazilian, is $145 a session, and the men's packages run from full face and underarms at $110 a session to every inch of the body at $500.

When you compare quotes, compare the whole course rather than one visit. Packages come in different sizes, from 3 sessions to 10 or an unlimited pass with an annual fee, so ask how many sessions the price covers, what a session costs after that, and whether the consultation is free; some clinics take a deposit for it.
A lower price here is not a lesser laser. Every session runs on the Candela GentleMax Pro, an FDA-cleared laser with two wavelengths: 755 nm alexandrite for lighter skin, and 1064 nm Nd:YAG for darker skin, which reaches deeper and leaves the pigment at the surface alone. Darker skin, types V and VI included, is treated on the Nd:YAG, and not at low settings. A special cooling system blows cold air on the skin through the whole session. Most people need 6 to 12 sessions, 4 to 6 weeks apart. The laser only destroys a follicle while its hair is growing, and at any time only part of your hair is, so each session catches the next wave. Skin tone, hair color, genetics and hormones set how many you need: coarse dark hair clears fastest, while fine hair and hair driven by hormones, such as on the chin, takes more sessions.
Past six, you add single sessions or a second package. For the underarms, 8 sessions cost $385 and 12 cost $550; for a Brazilian, $910 and $1,320; for full legs, $1,388 and $1,980.
Laser gives a long-lasting reduction of hair, and a top-up session every year or two after the course keeps it, at the single-session price for that area.
A Brazilian wax costs $79 at a Chicago wax chain's everyday price. Every four weeks, that is $1,027 a year, every year. Six laser sessions of a Brazilian cost $660 once, and a top-up after them $125. The underarms tell the same story: $31 a wax and $403 a year, against $275 for six laser sessions.
Treating several areas in one visit costs less than booking each on its own. Gold covers the underarms, Brazilian and full legs for $275 a session; booked separately, those three cost $379.

For one area, buy the package. Six underarm sessions cost $275 instead of $330.
A membership pays when you come every month. Beauty Bank membership is $99, $159 or $279 a month for at least six months, and the whole fee goes into a balance that rolls over and pays for any treatment at member prices. It is also the way to pay monthly instead of up front.
On laser, Core charges the standard price for a single area and 3% to 5% less for bundles. On every area and bundle, Plus is about 10% less, close to the package, and Elite 14% to 25% less, which beats it. Elite's Platinum session is $279, the monthly fee itself, so six months of Elite pay for six Platinum sessions: $1,674 against $1,780 for the package. Member prices do not combine with package prices or other offers.
Students get 10% off. Every treatment, laser included, is 10% less with a student ID that is valid on the day you pay: a $125 Brazilian session is $112.50. Skincare products are not included.

A session price covers one area, or one bundle, treated in one visit, with the cooling throughout. The consultation before your first session is free. A small area takes about 30 minutes and a full body 60 to 90. What to do before and after a session is in our pre-treatment instructions.
Not in the price: the top-up sessions after your course, booked at the single-session price; skincare products; and any fee for a late cancellation or a missed appointment.
